The University of Oregon leased an off-campus, privately owned building to house three administrative units, and challenged PIVOT with designing spaces for their unique needs while fitting into the particular challenges of the existing structure. After a lot of listening, testing, collaboration, more testing, and more listening, we landed on a design that balances specific functional needs with the flexibility necessary in today’s organizational landscape. And we didn’t stop there.
Furniture planning, temporary move planning, working with tenants occupying the building during our work, and rolling with changes in the program during construction kept us on our toes providing first-rate service and flexibility. The resulting interior design is a 180 degree turn from the existing condition, and the University’s presence will enrich the busy streetscape.
